Services held for Ella Herr

Ella N. Herr
October 26, 2012 – May 18, 2015
Ella N Herr age 2 of Watertown passed away Monday, May 18, 2015
Funeral Service was Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church (513 Madison Street SE) in Watertown with Rev. Jeffrey Engholm officiating. Interment was at Fort Snelling national Cemetery on May 26, 2015.
Ella was born on October 26, 2012 in St. Louis Park, MN. The daughter of Daniel Herr and Heather Ward.
Ella was quite the character. She liked to make sure you were legit before she gave you the time of day…her dad and mom loved this about her. She loved to fish, play with trucks and dinosaurs; very mucha “daddy’s girl”. Dad and Ella loved to play super heroes with her high kick and karate chop. She loved to dance and play games of soccer and ring around the rosey. Her latest dance was “bounce baby bounce…now freeze”. In the summer she was at the pool or lake getting wet and making sandcastles for her boats. Ella was one of the most unique kids on the planet and we are heartbroken.
Ella was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Clarence Ward, Chet and Clara Casselman and Calvin Herr.
Ella is survived by her loving mother Heather Ward of Watertown; father Daniel Herr of Excelsior; grandparents David and Linda Ward of Erskine; Beth and Jim Hawkinson of Elk River, Dwight Herr of Fridley; great-grandparents Fern Ward of Breckenridge, Bonnie Herr of Ham Lake, Jack and Mary Hauglid of Ocala, FL.; aunts and uncles Nicole and Todd Busch of International Falls, Amanda and Travis Rupp of St. Paul, Michelle Ward and Travis Fix of Coconut Creek, FL., Christofer Hawkinson of Anoka, Jill Hawkinson of Bloomington, Rob Hawkinson of Plymouth, Abriana Herr of Fridley, Hannah Herr of Fridley, Joshua Herr of Fridley; cousins Michael Geffre, Taylor Busch, Megan Busch, Savannah Busch, Claire Busch, Chet Rupp, and Hank Rupp.

A Peek Into Heaven
By Callie Sanders Thornton
Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how she's doing,
And heaven seems so far away.
Is she playing on the clouds with angels?
Is she laughing and running today?
Does she miss me?
I guess she only knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away?
If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of her sweet smiling face,
I promise I won't try to take her,
I know, she's in a better place.
Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking today.
I just want to know how she's doing,
And heaven seems so far away...
