Mustang volleyball holds awards night

The awards night for Red Lake County Central Mustangs volleyball was held Monday, November 13th in Oklee. Many awards were given out that evening. Also the team honored their long time coach Nancy Bray who ended her term as head coach.
Letter winners were Kia Bachand, Katelyn Suchy, Jayden Iverson, Jenna Pahlen, Sidney Olson, Tanisha Srnsky, Calyssa Eskeli, Julia Bernstein, Sydnie Gunderson, Sarah Christensen, Billie Gryskiewicz, Megan Smith and Hannah Kolstoe.
Special volleyball team awards were presented to the athletes. The awards and recipients included the following:
Server: Hannah Kolstoe (136/142 missing only 6 serves)
Passer: Calyssa Eskeli
Setter: Hannah Kolstoe and Calyssa Eskeli
Hitter: Julia Bernstein and Jenna Pahlen
Blocker: Julia Bernstein
Digger and Hustle: Sydnie Gunderson
Most Valuable: Julia Bernstein and Jenna Pahlen
Most Improved: Jenna Pahlen
Most Dedicated: Billie Gryskiewicz and Megan Smith
All State Academic: Hannah Kolstoe
All Conference: Julia Bernstein and Jenna Pahlen
All Conference Honorable Mention: Calyssa Eskeli and Hannah Kolstoe
Coach Bray was also recognized for her dedication and service to the Mustang volleyball program. She coached for 36 years, 25 years as head coach. Coach Bray commented she coached a “great bunch of young ladies. I would like to say thank you for all the years and the gifts.”
