GG over Blackduck, 32-8

“It was a great win to begin the football season. Our kids came out to play in all facets of the game,” commented Head Coach John Wilebski.
He added, “Assistant Coaches Gast and Grandstrand did a great job of preparing and implementing the game plan. We controlled the game offensively on the ground. Ball possession was significant in the win. Defensively, the Chargers made two key stops midway through the game to stymy the Drakes come back.
Individually, I could name pretty much every player who played well. A few players that really stood out were Levi Kiesow and Jared Haack. Gabe Arveson, Reece Sundberg, Tre Aleten and Jordan Coan all played phenomenal on the line of scrimmage. In the backfield, Riley Manderud and Matt Busse played well. Andrew Loken stood out on both sides of the ball at linebacker and full back. This week we face a tough rival, Kittson County, in Lancaster Friday afternoon. We will have to be focused and will need four strong quarters of football to defeat the Bearcats on the road.”
