BBB on Jan. 15th vs. Roseau in Goodridge

Roseau 69, GG 66

Coach’s Comments: The guys played well. After losing to them quite handily in Roseau before Christmas, We bounced back and did a lot of the little things and the big things well. If we can clean up a few things, we likely pull that one out.

GBB on Jan. 16th vs. Warroad in Warroad

Warroad 41, GG 33

GG Scoring: Daria Waletzki- 8 points, 6 rebounds Amy Wiskow- 5 points, Maci Bakken- 4 points, Madi Race- 3 points, Vivian Coan- 6 points, 8 rebounds, Libby Johnson- 2 points, Brooke Limesand- 3 points, Carlye Kiesow- 2 points

Coach’s Comments: The girls played very well down low tonight. Carlye, Maci, Brooke, Libby, Madi, all played tough down low. They have to 2 very good post players that are tall and like to push people around. We played tough against them and did a good job fighting for position. Warroad’s guards hit a couple big 3’s to put them ahead and they stayed ahead for good. It was good to see Libby come back from her injury and give us a couple minutes here and there. Daria had another good defensive game while leading the team in scoring and grabbing 6 rebounds.

Coach’s Comments: Not quite as solid of a defensive effort as last night, but we showed signs of the team we can be. We are getting better each game, this one was not a wholesale step forward, but there were positive signs in areas.

BBB on Jan. 18th vs. C/G in Goodridge

Coach’s Comments: We played well in stretches. Manderud had a great shooting night, but we had a bit of a rough shooting night otherwise. Credit to the Bears because they played well defensively and we are definitely looking forward to seeing them again in a couple weeks.

GBB on Jan. 19th vs. Fisher/Climax in Goodridge

FC 54, GG 36

GG Scoring: Daria Waletzki- 6 points, Amy Wiskow- 7 points, Maci Bakken- 15 points, 10 rebounds, Madi Race- 2 points, Vivian Coan- 3 points, 5 rebounds, Brooke Limesand- 3 points

Coach’s Comments: We put Fisher Climax on the free throw line too many times. They scored 16 points at the line. We also gave up to many offensive rebounds. Maci Bakken had another strong game recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
