Boys basketball holiday tournament results

The Boys basketball team played in the holiday tournament last week at Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls. The weather hindered the schedule with games having to be cancelled and reschedule, but ultimately all games were played and the Chargers won the Consolation Championship on Saturday afternoon, December 10th.
Game 1 was held on Thursday, December 8th. GG played Stephen-Argyle and lost 54-68.
Scoring: Blaine Kriel 21, Ben Groven 10, Dylan Walker 9, Tyler Stinar 5, Brandon Stanley 4, Dylan Manderud 3, Hogan Lundeen 2
Rebounds: Walker 10, Groven 9, Stinar 9, Stanley 4, Manderud 1
Coaches Comments: “We played them tough for 80% of the game. S-A shot very well and played a good game. We only shot 4 free throws for the game, which was disappointing. We made some “early in the year” mistakes. Overall, the kids played hard,” says Varsity Head Coach Mike Gast.

Coaches Comments: “Our offense was active and we hit the offensive boards well. It was very good team effort. I’m very happy for the players,” Gast said.
