Vickie LaRae Hvezda

Vickie LaRae Hvezda, 28, of Rice Lake, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, MN. A wake will begin on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Center and continue until the time of the service.  Interment will be at the St. Phillip's Episcopal Cemetery in Rice Lake, MN.

Vickie was born on December 24, 1997, in Bemidji, Minnesota to Susan Stevens and Nolan Hvezda. Vickie grew up Rice Lake and attended school in Bagley where she learned sign language through BRIC. She was a proud member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe.

Vickie worked at the Shooting Star Casino. She enjoyed Bingo, going to the Casino, drawing, coloring, music, watching her favorite TV shows, garage sales and thrifting. Vickie was very well loved by all the children in the community and was well known as “Bop-Bop”. She had such a kind heart and bubbly soul. She was always seen with a smile on her face and children always gravitated towards her for hugs. Vickie loved spending time with her family, particularly with her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed tremendously.

Vickie is survived by her father, Nolan Hvezda; her siblings, Amy Beaulieu, Sunshine Hvezda, Tiffany Hvezda, LaVina Hvezda, Macy Hunt, and Brett Frederick; special cousins-Dylan Hvezda, Dawson Hvezda, Darwin Beaulieu, Braxton Parker and Alicyn Hvezda whom Vickie played a big part in her life; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; foster family, Toni Fairbanks, and many other loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Stevens; her sisters, Elizabeth “Bambi” and Ada Louise Hvezda; her grandparents, Darwin & Dorothy Stevens and Leslie & Veronica Hvezda; her uncles, Harlan Hvezda and Harry Hvezda; aunt, Mona Stevens; special cousin, Anthony Moytona.
