Terry Crandall
Terry John Crandall, 74, of Bagley, MN died on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his home in Bagley, Minnesota.
Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on October 27, 2025.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Terry was born and raised in Minnesota. Growing up in a large family he often reminisced and chuckled about all the busyness that went on with him and his siblings.
He graduated from North high school in June 1969. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Marksman of M-16s and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Terry could fix any type of weapon or firearm. Most of his career he worked as a machinist. He absolutely loved to fish. Summer and ice fishing, it didn’t matter. He was an avid Viking and Twins fan. You could always find him wanting to play a good game of cribbage and enjoying his crossword puzzles, the harder the better. He was a history buff, and he could tell you anything you would ever want to know about an important date and the details surrounding it. He would never pass up a good history documentary. His favorite pastime was being with friends on Lake Mille Lacs, and salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and annual fishing trips at the lake of the woods. He enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays. You could always find him listening to his favorite music the 50s and 60s and playing his favorite CDs. Terry moved to Bagley in 2013. He found a peaceful life in the North Woods with his daughter, Kristine and son-in-law, Rod, along with his two grandchildren Grace and Hogan. We called him grandpa, and he lived on our Homestead and will be deeply missed. We are so blessed that he was able to keep his independence and dignity until we had to say goodbye.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Kristine Haney; grandkids, Grace and Hogan Haney; siblings, Penny Crandall, Kelly (Diane) Crandall, Steven (Jim Neil) Crandall, Colleen Lundgren, and Michael (Phyllis) Crandall; nephew, Ryan Crandall; niece Britton (Robert) Perez; grand niece and nephew, Aven Perez and Hadassah Perez.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Budington “Bud” and Anna “Ann” (Renner) Crandall; Son-in-law, Rodrick “Rod” Haney; and brothers, Daniel “Dan” Schaaf and Jeffrey “Jeff” Crandall. Messages of condolence may be sent to ceasefuneralhome.com.
