Susie Marie Ramsrud
Susie Marie Ramsrud, 59, of Bemidji, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bagley, Minnesota, surrounded by the love of her family.
Services for Susie will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at 1 o'clock p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel, and also at 4 o'clock p.m. at JD's Outpost in Solway, Minnesota.
Susie was born on June 3, 1966, to Harvey and Eleanor (Skogen) Bergquist. She was raised in the Bagley area, where she formed lifelong friendships and graduated from Bagley High School in 1984. She furthered her education by attending the Vo-Tech school in Bemidji, beginning a life rooted in hard work, and dedication.
On June 15, 1985, Susie married the love of her life, Brian Ramsrud. Together they built a beautiful life in Bemidji, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They were blessed with two children, Chelsey and Dylan, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Throughout her life, Susie was known for her strong work ethic and friendly personality. She held a variety of positions over the years, including work with Century 21, Better Homes and Gardens, Bemidji Hospital, North Country Dentistry, and Sanford Medical Billing. She was also proud to be the part owner and operator of the Bemidji Ground Round from 2002 to 2008.
A member of Solway Lutheran Church, Susie lived her life with compassion and a caring heart. She found happiness in life’s simple moments—boating on the lake, peaceful walks, ranger rides, camping trips, and vacations spent with those she loved most. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren, who meant everything to her.
Susie will be deeply remembered for her infectious laugh, her ever-present warm smile, and her ability to brighten any room she entered. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and valued, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Brian Ramsrud of Bemidji; her daughter, Chelsey (Jeremy) Ramsrud of Bemidji; her son, Dylan Ramsrud of Shevlin; her mother, Eleanor Bergquist of Shevlin; her brother, Dale (Arlene) Bergquist of Solway; her uncle, Bud Skogen of Shevlin; three nieces; two grandsons; and many dear friends, including Sue Teigland, who will all cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Bergquist, and her grandmother, Olga Skogen.
Susie’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and the importance of family. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
