Susan (Gibeau) Voxland

Susan (Gibeau) Voxland, 80, of Clearbrook, Minnesota, died January 24, 2026, at Cornerstone Memory Care in Bagley.
Sue was born on February 8, 1945, in Oklee, Minnesota to Omar and Marie (Bergeron) Gibeau. She graduated from Clearbrook High School, where she participated in cheerleading and was voted homecoming queen for the class of ‘63.
Sue married Stanley (Sonny) Voxland in 1966. They were married for 49 years. Together they raised two children, Carla (Matt) Harrold and Barry (Jo) Voxland. Sue attended the Thief River Falls Community College and became a hairstylist. She opened a beauty shop in her home and eventually expanded her business to include shops in Bagley and Gonvick.
Sue was community-minded and generous. When she saw a need that she could fill, she filled it. She donated money, clothing, and her time to help others. She decorated the trees on Clearbrook’s Main Street with lights during the Christmas season, and in the summer she orchestrated the hanging flower baskets.
Sue was a generous and dedicated grandma. A weekend at Grandma Susie’s was filled with activities, gifts, and love. She spoiled her grandchildren without restraint.
Sue is survived by her children, her grandchildren Paul, Haley, Hunter, and Chase, and her sister Kathy (Rick) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings: Kenneth, Jeanne, Harlan, Russell, Richard, and Michael.
Sue’s family thanks Cornerstone Memory Care for the expert care she received.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sue’s memory.
A memorial brunch will be held in Sue’s honor at the home of her son, Barry Voxland, at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 11th, at 19487 Leonard Road, Clearbrook MN, 56634.
