Susan Berberich of Brooks, MN passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at The Commons on Marice in Eagan, MN.
Memorial service will be held for Susan on Monday November 13, 2023, 11 AM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Brooks, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Susan Jane Tangen was born on September 8, 1952 in Roseau, MN daughter of Leslie and Marion (Gunderson) Tangen. She was raised in McIntosh where she attended school and graduated in 1970.
On April 29, 1972 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Berberich at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks. Together they had 3 children Lynn, Corey, and Tammy. Susan worked as a CNA at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine until her retirement.
Susan enjoyed playing games and puzzles, movies, cooking, shopping but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She was an extremely caring person and always put others’ needs in front of her own. Susan loved to laugh, and her sense of humor brought joy to everyone she knew. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks.
Susan is survived by her children Lynn Berberich of Brooks, MN, Corey Berberich of Brooks, MN and Tammy (Ricky) Spearman of Eagan, MN; grandchildren Alexis (Ben) Linder, Megan (Ryan) Schultz, Taylor Berberich, Ty Spearman, Triston Spearman and Taylon Spearman; great-granddaughter Charlotte Linder; along with several nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, parents Leslie and Marion Tangen; sister Diane Smeby and brother Robert Tangen.
