Services for Robert “Bob” Hulst

Robert “Bob” Hulst of McIntosh, MN, died July 12, 2016, at St. Cloud Hospital.
Bob was born to Thelma and Richard Evans in Mandan, ND. He was adopted at age 3 by John and Dora Hulst.
He attended grade school in Inkster, ND. He attending Erskine High School and graduated in 1958. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead and Bemidji State College. He joined the National Guard and served 6 years. He worked at the McIntosh Coop. In 1961, he moved to Casselton, ND, and worked at F & G Garage for over a year.
On October 13, 1962, he married Geraldine Narum. They lived in Casselton about 1 year. They moved back to McIntosh and he worked briefly at McIntosh Coop again. He then worked at First National Bank if McIntosh, working his way up to Executive Vice President. After 32 years at the bank, he retired in 1996. He purchased Riverside Board and Lodge in 2000. He also became the Community “handyman”, which he enjoyed. For several years, after purchasing a travel trailer, he and Geri became “snowbirds”, going south during the winter.
Bob enjoyed life, helping others, having coffee with “the boys” at B-B Café every morning, and he loved (or as he would say, “liked a lot”) doing this to improve “his” church. 
He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Geri, of 54 years, three children Perry (Donna) Hulst of Rush City, MN, Kelly (Ken) Haugen of Fosston, MN. and Matthew (Brenda) Hulst of St, Cloud, MN. Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Adam Hulst, Amanda (Gary) MItchell, Tiffany (Kevin) Wright, Leif and Robert Haugen. Great-grandchildren: Lanie, Addison, Kaylee, and Taylor Olson, James and Danika Jo Wright, Marianna and Gabrielle Botsco, and Christopher Nurnberg. Brothers: Richard (Casey) Branaman of Wyoming, Ron (Penny) of California, and sister Rosalie Branaman of Grand Forks, ND. Also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandson Cody Hulst, and sister, Kathy Voit.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 am, at Mount Carmel Church, 305 State Street NE, in McIntosh.
