Services for Nancy Johnson
Nancy Johnson, 77, of Clearbrook, Minnesota died on Easter morning, April 4, 2021 at the Sanford Bagley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota with the Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Interment will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery at Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Nancy was born on May 6, 1943 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Emory and Marie (Machálek) Schmidt. She was baptized in Wheaton, Il and attended Whitney Elementary Grammar School in Chicago, IL. Nancy attended Pleasant Hill Elementary School and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1961. After Graduation, Nancy went to the Career Academy Medical and Dental School in Chicago, IL. She worked at McIntosh Manor as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 3 years. Nancy began working at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook as a CNA in 1980, and retired in 2016, working there for 36 years. She married Donald Johnson on April 20, 1963 and they had two daughters; Robin and Rebekah. Nancy lived in various places in her life, such as, Chicago, IL, Pleasant Hill, IL, Montana, Gully, MN and finally settling in Clearbrook, MN in 1999. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook, she was a volunteer at the Shop on the Top and most importantly, she received the Alliance Nursing Assistant Award, nominated by the Center’s residents council. Nancy enjoyed many things in her life. Embroidery, baking, old movies (mainly musicals), flower gardens, antiques, bible studies, crafting, traveling (particularly trips to the north Shore), spending time with family and friends, dancing, and ballet were very special to her. Nancy’s faith was the center of her life. She loved God and family more than anything, and would do anything for them.

Special niece – Fawn (Cliff) Arneson of Algonquin, IL
Former husband – Donald Johnson
Numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents and her aunt – Anna Mochel.
