Mary Louise Lewis, 65, of Bagley died on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Sanford Bagley Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior with Pastor Kris Snyder officiating. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Mary was born February 11, 1958, in Bagley, MN to Chester and Alice (Ranisate) Lewis. She attended Bagley Elementary and High School. Mary was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church rural Bagley. Mary married Alan Wildman on February 14, 1981, in Bagley MN and later divorced. Mary’s life was full of adventures as she traveled across the United States. One of her favorite spots was Alaska where she rode horses, panned for gold, and caught monstrous king salmon while raising her family. Mary settled in rural Bagley in 1992 where she raised her children, became a grandma, great-grandma and pursued her many passions. Mary was hard-working, generous to a fault and was so kindhearted. Her main priority in life were her children who she loved with all her heart. Nothing came before their needs. She also loved nature and caring for animals. From Emus to chipmunks, they were all welcome in her house.
Mary is survived by mother, Alice Lewis of Bagley; sons Kevin (Tina) Lewis of Erskine, Travis (Tiffany) Lewis of Erskine; daughters Edith Dickinson of Fosston, Christine (Jason) Horn of Gonvick, Alice (Adam) Wildman of Fosston, Patty (Ty) Wildman of Bagley, Rose Wildman of Bagley; step-children Alan Wildman, Jr. of Shell Lake, WI and Jenny (Tom) Klassa of Shell Lake, WI. Her brothers, Alroy (Debbie) Lewis of Bagley, Duane (Lori) Lewis of Bagley; her sisters, Linda Gulbranson of Bagley, Patty (Joe) Swenson of Bagley, Bonnie Klein of Fargo, ND, Lynette (Todd) Waggoner of Bagley. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, Chester Lewis, her son-in-law, Chris Dickinson, nephew, Michael Swenson, brother-in-law Steve Gulbranson, and grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
