Services for Lois Karen Gray

On Tuesday February 3, 2021, Lois Karen Gray went into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away at age 77 from complications of Covid in McAllen TX.

Lois was the youngest of eight children born to Louis and Lettie Emmel.  She was born on June 14th, 1943. She attended Elementary and High school in Clearbrook, MN. She furthered her education by earning lab and X-ray technician certificates.  Lois worked in hospitals and clinics in at least 6 Minnesota communities including McIntosh, Browerville, Long Prairie, Clearbrook, Bagley and Bemidji.

Lois married the love of her life, Stanley Gray on June 27th, 1964.   She delivered a May basket to him when she was nine and that began a lifelong relationship.  Their marriage was blessed with three children, Tim (Sandy) Gray of Clearbrook, MN, Mark Gray of Coon Rapids, MN, and Cindy (Dudley) Wishard of Clearbrook, MN.

Lois loved her seven grandchildren beyond measure. Rachel, Mike, Lindsey, Sam, Cooper, Auggie, and Ellie all knew they were loved by the smile she gave when they walked in her door.  She relished baking chocolate chip cookies for them and serving more food than they could ever eat.  If you were blessed enough to be at her house, you likely sampled her cookies and felt welcomed by her warm hospitality.  Memories of her cute sayings will bring joy to her family for years to come.  Her love will bring comfort as we mourn her loss and her residence in heaven will bring peace.

Lois was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook. She spent many years showing children God’s love by helping them learn Bible verses and guiding them in the Awana program.  She loved the kids she helped in Awana all the way into adulthood. She gave her time to missions in Ukraine and numerous other ministries to spread the gospel.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, parents and many other family members.  As we imagine her reunion with them in heaven we smile and enjoy a comfort beyond words.

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook.
