Justin Lee Erickson, 33, of Gonvick, MN died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Essentia Hospital in Fosston, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clearwater Life Center (The Old Gonvick School) in Gonvick, MN with a time of visitation one hour prior. A visitation will be held the evening before on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN. Arrangements were entrusted with the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley, MN.
Justin was born on April 5, 1990 to Ricky Erickson and Sue Bergman in Bagley, MN. He was baptized at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, MN and attended school at the Clearbrook-Gonvick High School. Over the years, he worked at Wally’s Meat Market, Dennis Lee Construction, Charps LLC, Minnesota Limited, Precision Pipeline, and Frontier Services, and enjoyed helping his uncle Glen.
Justin was a member of the Gonvick Fire Department, the Gully Sportsman’s Club, the Minnesota Trail Hound Association, and the Local 1097. He loved spending time with his friends, ice fishing, and riding motorcycle. He left a trademark everywhere he went with his infectious smile and giggle. He was always just a phone call away. His last generous act was to donate his eyes to the Lions Gift of Sight.
Justin is survived by his father, Ricky Erickson; his mother, Sue Bergman; his sister, Amanda (Bradley) Erickson; his nieces, Brooklyn and Addison; his grandmother, Jewel Erickson; and numerous family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Elvin Erickson; his grandparents, Carl and Dolly Bergman; his uncles, David Bergman and Buddy Erickson; and his friends, Kyle Rouland and Josh Jorgenson.
