Services for Jerome "Jerry" Snobeck

Jerome “Jerry” Van Snobeck, 71, of Bemidji, MN, formerly of Clearbrook, MN, left his earthly home for a better place on Monday, April 18, 2016 at his home in Bemidji, MN.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
Jerry was born January 30, 1945 in Bagley, MN to Herman and Myrtle (Olson) Snobeck. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He graduated from Clearbrook High School with the class of 1963. He was married to his soul mate, Carolyn Grone, on August 5, 1964 in Gonvick, MN. Jerry was employed on the ore boats for two seasons on Lake Superior, on the missile bases in North Dakota, and then worked at the Creamery in Clearbrook. He started with Lake Head Pipeline in 1971, eventually retiring from Enbridge Pipeline in August of 2001 as an electrical technician. He then went back to Enbridge as an inspector for another twelve years.
Jerry loved nature. He planted thousands of trees over the years. He was very fond of his Harley. Jerry was a wonderful man, the best of the best. He loved his family and was a wonderful father and husband.
He leaves behind a broken hearted family, including his wife of 52 and a half years, Carolyn Snobeck; his sons, Darren (Cindy) Snobeck of Clearbrook, MN and Jason (Jenny) Snobeck of Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Hope (Duaine) Espeseth of Avondale, AZ; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
