Services held for Carolyn Mae Hill

Carolyn Mae (Lussier) Hill, age 75, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at her home, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 10 days short of celebrating her 55th wedding anniversary with Jim.
A service was held on November 10th in Grand Rapids, MN at St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
Carolyn was born on April 30, 1943 to Leon and Evelyn Lussier in Brooks, MN. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to James Hill on November 14, 1961 in St. Paul, MN, where they lived for 14 years before moving back to Grand Rapids. Carolyn worked at Dairy King and later was employed at Gordy’s in the Deli Dept. She was a member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary and enjoyed camping, gardening and baking.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Leon and Evelyn; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Henderson, Derek Henderson and Brett Siem.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Kari (Eino) Johnson of Grand Rapids; sons, Jamey (Sarah Hintz) Hill of Calumet and Michael Hill of Deer River; sisters LaRae (Gary) Cunningham of Irvine, CA and Wanda (Daryl) Kastenson of Oak Creek, WI; brothers, Larry (Lois) Lussier of Cohasset, Gerald (Kathy) Lussier of Grand Rapids, and Ronnie (Linda) Lussier of Hugo; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and from the Oklee area, her aunt Jeannie (Larry) O’Neill of Oklee; cousins, Violet Cote of Oklee, Gloria Benedick of Erskine, David (Lola) Plante of Erskine, and Virgil (Jan) Plante of Mentor.
