Services held for Allen Christopherson

Allen Christopherson was born October 12, 1938. He was 79, when he was called home to the Lord on November 5, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital and Garden View Hospice.

Allen was born to Selvin and Agnes (Strand) Christopherson. Allen was baptized and confirmed at Valle Lutheran Church, Oklee. He attended school and graduated from Oklee High School in 1956. He enlisted in the United State Army and received an honorable discharge.

Allen married JoAnn Christianson. were united in marriage on New Year’s Eve, 1960 at Zion Lutheran Church, Oklee. They became the proud parents of two sons, Jeff & Kevin. In 1965 they moved to Cudahy, WI. Allen had his own business in Milwaukee known as House of Décor. He was a painter and paper hanger. He did residential and commercial work.

Allen had four grandchildren: PJ, Abby, Eric and Jan. Allen loved to spend time with his grandkids and family. He loved all sports, especially cheering on his sons and grandkids at games. He also loved to play cards.

On October 20, 2001 Allen and Terry Ciano were united in marriage. Allen became step-dad to Ted, Jody and Nicole and three step grandkids.

Memorial Service was held Friday November 10, 2017 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, Brookfield, WI. Final resting place, Zion Cemetery, Oklee, MN.

Survivors include his wife, Terry; two sons, Jeff (Kay) Christopherson, Kevin Christopherson. Step-children, Ted, Jody, and Nicole. Four grandchildren, PJ, Abby, Eric and Jan. Three step grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, and Lauren Thomann. Brother-in-law Jerome Madson, brother-in-law Gene (Mary) Christianson and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janet (2014).
