Services for Gertrude “Trudy” Margaret Gilbertson

Gertrude “Trudy” Margaret Gilbertson, 90, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
She was born July 27, 1931 in Finley, North Dakota, the daughter of Gilbert “G.J.” and Bertine (Hilstad) Mustad. She was raised and educated in Finley, ND.
She married Harlan Gilbertson October 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL. From 1960-1968 they were Agricultural Missionaries in Ethiopia, Tigre Province. Starting in 1970 she was a full time dairy farmer in rural Bagley until 1991. She was a former member of the Finley, ND Lutheran Church, Free Church in Bagley, MN, the Evangelical Covenant Church in Bemidji, and the MeKane Yesus Evangelical Church in Ethiopia. She continued to be a shining representative of Jesus, and made new friends until her last day. She enjoyed talking books, the computer and being with her friends.
She is survived by her children; Gary Gilbertson of Bemidji, Bruce (Sue) Gilbertson of Shevlin, and Karen (David) Ginter of Seattle, WA, granchildren, Troy Koosmann, Nathan Gilbertson, Benjamin Gilbertson, Daniel Gilbertson, and Sarah Gilbertson, great grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Carson, Clair, Silas, Dove, Zakary, and Brooke.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Gilbertson, daughter Christy Koosmann, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Gilbertson.
