It is with a heavy heart that Evalyn Cole’s family announces her passing at the age of 80. She went home to celebrate Easter with Jesus on Sunday, April 20th, 2025.
Born in Shenandoah, IA, Evalyn was a devoted mom to 6 children. She was also an adored grandmother, who was affectionately known as “Nana” to many.
Known for her lively spirit & generosity, Evalyn loved to garden, read, sit around the fire, go on ranger rides and spend time with her great granddaughters. She had a heart for serving others.
She left behind 3 sons, Jerry, Rick, and Mike, her daughter, Niki, grandchildren, Erica, Sierra, Tylar, Zach, Marissa and Nate, and great granddaughters Luna and Isla.
She is reunited in heaven with her brothers and sisters, her son, Larry, and husband, Colin.
She wished to have a fire at her house with loved ones to celebrate a life well-lived. Her family will set a date at a later time.
Grief is proof that boundless love and beauty existed.. Evalyn was just that.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
