Christine Marie Pettersen, 95, of Clearbrook, MN died on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery in Bagley, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.

Christine was born January 10, 1921 in Eden Valley, MN to John and Mary (Kiev) Brulla. She was the youngest child, having four brothers and one sister. She was raised and attended school in Eden Valley. Christine married James Pettersen in 1949 and they lived in St. Paul until after their first son was born. They then moved to North of Shevlin where James farmed and Christine helped with haying and taking care of the cattle. Christine and James had two more sons, which kept Christine busy. She was always willing to help the neighbors with whatever they needed. She had a good heart.

Christine resided at the Good Samaritan Center for the last twenty three years and always felt very loved and taken care of, she even had volunteered there many times. She liked to bead and make rosaries, crochet, and loved watching birds.

She is survived by her sons, Edward (Bonnie), Ronald (Gloria), and Wallace (Connie);  two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; special people, Marlene and Larry; her brother-in-law, George (Eleanor); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Brulla; her husband, James Pettersen; and her five siblings.
