Services for Anna Erickson

Anna Erickson 89 of Gonvick, MN died on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her residence in Gonvick. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, MN with Rev. Bob Kirchman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements. 

Anna was born October 31, 1926 in Clearbrook, MN the daughter of Adil and Bertha (Stensvik) Jacobson. She attended the Greenwood School through the 8th grade. She married Elmer Erickson on April 23, 1942 in Bagley, MN. They farmed near Clearbrook until moving to Gonvick in 1981. Elmer passed away on June 6, 2002.

Anna enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She had a very keen memory and could always remember people’s names and events from the past. She was a member of the Melvin Johnson American Legion Post No. 256 Auxiliary.

Sons- David (Cheryll) Erickson of Clearbrook, MN; Terry (Penny) Erickson of Leonard, MN; Mark Erickson of Clearwater, FL; Elmer Erickson Jr. of Gonvick, MN

Sister- Alice Dunrud of Springfield, MO

Brothers- Norman Jacobson of Clearbrook, MN;Bernel Jacobson of California

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son- Gary Erickson, one great grandson, and three brothers.
