Michael Ewing age 44, of Tenstrike, MN passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home. A committal service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, November 25 at The Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Internment and full military honors will immediately follow.
Michael was born on March 25, 1981 to Stanley (Mickey) and Mary Ewing in Duluth, MN. He spent his younger years having a wonderful childhood in Duluth. He particularly loved his time on the Lester River. He also has many fond memories spending time with family and friends enjoying the outdoors in Bemidji / Tenstrike, MN. Upon graduating from Apple Valley High School, he joined the Army National Guard. He served from 2003 -2007; and was deployed for active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Michael loved his children, grandchildren and family so much. He was a kind, brave man who will be loved and eternally missed.
Michael is survived by his children, Haley Ewing (Carter Dyke) and Oliver Ewing. His loving parents Mickey and Mary Ewing; his sisters Sara Engelstad (David Tatarek) and Regina (Ben) Lieser. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Delilah Ewing-Dyke and Dakoda Dyke; nieces and nephews, Aerin Engelstad, Madeline Engelstad and Alex Tatarek, Jack Lieser, Charlie Lieser, Sam Lieser and Ella Lieser; special uncle Don Kerr and cousin, Gerald Kerr.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley & Lu Ewing and Jack & Margaret Kerr. And last, his beloved dog Roy.
