Charles “Chuck” Rowinn Deeter III,

Charles "Chuck" Rowinn Deeter III, 75, of Bemidji, MN passed on Monday, March 23rd, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center Bemidji, MN.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday April 2, 2026  at Cease Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. The family encourages those so inclined to wear their best science apparel or theater costume. Musical instruments are welcomed.

Chuck was born April 13, 1950 in Arlington Virginia, son of Charles and Margaret (Carlston) Deeter. He lived in Columbus OH, New Brighton MN, Washington DC, Richmond VA, and Bemidji, MN. He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1969, serving in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged in 1972.He married Debbra Pearson September 12, 1993. 

Chuck worked in a variety of jobs. Music gigs, theater productions, professional tours and a long standing role of Ed Humde with Troupe America's "How to Talk Minnesotan". He continued his love of acting locally with BCT, Mask and Rose Theater and Paul Bunyan Playhouse His acting skillset and love of science made him a local celebrity at the Headwaters Science Center for 31 years until he retired in August 2024.

Chuck enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, and canoeing. He loved walking, biking and swimming he could always be counted on for a witty comment, ready laugh and the right song.

He Is survived by his wife Debbra,

His two daughters Nicole Deeter of Bemidji MN, Heather Deeter of Portland OR,

Grandchildren Bill Newell (Tess) and their three daughters, Melody, Lily, and aLuna,

Shadow Lothrop and his son Archer,

Benjamin Deeter.

Sisters Linda Wingader and her children Rob (Jessica), and Molly (John) Mayer,

Nancy Gysland and her children Jake (Marisa), Cami, and Neal, 

Brother in Law Jerry Sedgewick and his children Levi and Luke.

Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janet, and his granddaughter Justice Deeter.
