Carole Lucille (Weeks) Shepherd

Carole Lucille (Weeks) Shepherd was born on November 26, 1938, in Fort Myers, Florida, and passed peacefully in the early morning hours of January 10, 2026, in Bagley, Minnesota.

Carole proudly served in the United States Army before working as a nurse at Halifax Hospital in Daytona, Florida. It was there that she met her husband, George “Mickey” Shepherd. After raising three children, she retired and devoted herself to being a homemaker.

After their children were grown, Carole and Mickey became campsite hosts, a shared passion that brought them great joy. Together they built a home in Bullard, Texas, where Mickey later passed away. Following his passing, Carole traveled extensively, living in Washington State and Alabama before eventually settling in Minnesota, where she remained until her passing.

Carole was a remarkably talented woman. She crafted quilts, wove baskets, painted on everything from canvas to gourds, and enjoyed sewing and writing. She loved books, cherished her family, and held a deep faith in the Lord.

Carole was deeply loved by many and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and caring heart.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Beverly Tucker and Bonnie Tucker; her beloved husband, George “Mickey” Shepherd; and her son, David Lewis Quincy.

She is survived by her brother, Martin Weeks; her children, Theresa Quincy and William Shepherd; her stepchildren, whom she loved as her own, Mike Shepherd, Linda Stewart, and Sherry Shepherd-West (Kenneth West); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
