Support for Lindy Casper’s Overwhelming in a Good Way

Lindy Caspers has been a well-known and deeply valued member of our Bagley community for many years. Through her work with the local school district in special education for over 30 years and her leadership in the youth recreation program, Lindy has touched, helped and supported countless lives and families.

She is bravely undergoing treatment for HER2-positive breast cancer and a rare lung disease.

On May 3 a benefit was held for Lindy at the Bagley High School gymnasium. Attendees could enjoy a meal of pull pork(freewill), bake sale, raffle ticket, silent auction, door prizes and games. T-shirts and bracelets were available for purchase.  All proceeds went to support Lindy and her family during this time.

There were well over 300 donations from our local community and surrounding communities as well. This included businesses, friends, and community members.

In addition to the several hundred donations; family, friends and new friends to be, showed up and stood beside Lindy at her benefit.  A close family member said “this support meant far more than financial. It is a reflection of a life she spent giving to others without expecting anything in return. After more than 30 years of serving our small community, they showed our family that her kindness, generosity, and compassion truly mattered.”  This couldn’t be more true, the Caspers are truly a kind, loving, generous, fun, and supportive family.

The family member went on to say, “for our family, it felt overwhelming in the best possible way; comforting, humbling, emotional, and deeply reassuring. Seeing so many people come together reminded us that mom has never been alone in all the good she’s done. Every donation, message, hug, meal, prayer, and person who walked through the door was proof that the care she gave over decades came back to surround her when she needed it most.” It’s estimated that well over 500 guests attended the benefit.
This kind of support shows something powerful about our small communities. This benefit turned into something way more than a fundraiser; it became a celebration of Lindy’s character, her legacy, and the relationships she built over a lifetime. It is who she is!!
