Come Join the Parade
Vintage cars, tractors, floats, walkers, other creative entries (and even politicians) are welcome to join the parade in Gully on the 4th of July. The parade will begin at 10:30 am, with registration and lining up starting at 9:00. Prizes will be given.
Non-participants are invited to just come and watch!
Gully and Trail are jointly planning this 4th of July celebration due to it being our country’s 250 years of independence. Following the parade the celebration will resume in Trail.

May 18 – Clearbrook-Gonvick School Board meeting starting at 7:00 p.m.

May 21 - The monthly meeting of the local Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life Chapter 45 will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fosston. All are welcome to attend. For more information about the Chapter, please contact Eileen Hegg at 218-563-3152.
May 22 - The last day of school for Clearbrook-Gonvick students and they will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.
May 23 - Clearbrook-Gonvick High School Graduation at 2:00 p.m.
May 23 - The Shevlin Garden Clubs Annual Plant Sale is Saturday 9:00 - 12 noon. The plant sale will be held in the Horticulture Building at the Clearwater County Fairgrounds - Bagley MN.
May 25 – Memorial Day – Clearbrook Legion and Auxiliary program at the Community Center at 10:00 a.m. Speaker will be Paula Boomgaarden with coffee to be served after the program. Gonvick Legion and Auxiliary program at the Legion cabin at 10:00 a.m. Speaker will be Pastor Will Anderson. Coffee and donuts will be served.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving vehicle permit fees at all 73 state parks and recreation areas. This Free Park Day is one of four days each year on which visitors don’t need a vehicle permit at state parks and recreation areas. The DNR offers one-free day in each season, giving Minnesotans an opportunity to experience the parks at different times of year.
Free days for Minnesota state parks and recreation areas in 2026 are:

Congratulations to Faith Gunning, from Clearbrook-Gonvick School. She had her 200th strike out in a Junior High game against Kelliher, Northome.
The Clearbrook-Gonvick Girls 4 x 800 relay team set a new school record with 10:57:65. The four were Izzy Krog, Ava Larson, Amelia Machlitt and Caroline Machlitt.
The Bemidji Rotary and Bemidji Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce that the Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival presented by Paul Bunyan Communications will celebrate its 20th anniversary July 30 through August 1. Early Bird Team Registration is now open, and teams can save $100 off the registration fee if they sign up by June 1st.
POW Gary Guggenberger will be the Memorial Day speaker in Lengby on Monday, May 25. He was a prisoner of war in South Vietnam and Cambodia for 1,491 days until he was released February 12, 1973.
The Fosston Farmers Market will be starting May 23. That is located next to the East Polk Heritage Center on Highway 2 on the east side of Fosston. That will be every Saturday from 9:00 to 1:00.
