February 18 to 21 – Book Fair at the Clearbrook-Gonvick school. Book preview day Wednesday. Thursday book fair open and in the from 3:30 to 7:00 pm when the Bears host Goodridge-Grygla. Last day to purchase books is Friday, February 20 in the classrooms.
February 21st 29th Annual Production Sale at the Nordlund Stock Farm, LLC 1:00 pm at the farm, Clearbrook. Family owned and operated Angus and Red Angus ranch. Managed by Mike and Sam Nordlund. Nordlund Stock Farm is a seedstock operation in Minnesota that focuses on Black Angus and Red Angus cattle built on balance.
February 23, Clearbrook-Gonvick School board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
February 24 – The 2026 Bagley Co-op Elevator Seed Day will be held at the elevator. Time will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Featured suppliers will be: Agassiz Seed, Wilbur-Ellis, LaCrosse Seed and RJ Hunt. Refreshments will be served. Questions you can call 218-694-2256.
March 26 - Stockholders of Fosston Tri-Coop in Fosston will be having their annual meeting of stockholders at Ventures Bar & Grill in Fosston. Meeting will start at 5:00 p.m. with meal to follow. Business meeting will include the presentation of the annual report and election of two directors who will serve a term of three years. From Curtis Bartz, Secretary -Treasurer.

Historical Society Annual Meeting Sunday February 22
The Clearwater County Historical Society will hold its 2025 Annual Meeting on Sunday February 22, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Church in Clearbrook
The meeting will begin at 1:30 and will include election of one new board member, officers and a business meeting.
After the meeting, a short history program will be offered. Light refreshments will be served.
Everyone is welcome. Not a member? That’s okay! You are welcome to come and see what the society is all about.

Pine Lake near Gonvick, MN
Notice to Operate Aeration System
An aeration system creating thin ice and open water shall be in operation on the Northeast portion of Pine Lake near the public access. This site is located in the SW¼ Section 22, Pine Lake Township, Clearwater County.
Please use caution as open water and thin ice conditions can fluctuate greatly. Stay clear of marked area!

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving vehicle permit fees at all 73 state parks and recreation areas. This Free Park Day is one of four days each year on which visitors don’t need a vehicle permit at state parks and recreation areas. The DNR offers one-free day in each season, giving Minnesotans an opportunity to experience the parks at different times of year.
Free days for Minnesota state parks and recreation areas in 2026 are:

- Saturday, June 13
- Friday, Nov. 27

Nominations Sought for 2026 First Lady
The 2026 Clearwater County First Lady will be held on April 11 at the Bagley American Legion Auditorium. The Bagley Auxiliary will be co-hosting the event.
Your help is needed to select the 2026 recipient. If you know a woman who should be considered for the award, please send a letter with her name and include your reasons for her nomination- this can include any accomplishments in her life such as her career highlights or volunteer years of service and other characteristics that you think should be considered. First Lady nominees must currently live in Clearwater County and be able to attend the event on April 11. Nominations of women of all ages are encouraged.

Tidbits
Hostfest in Minot, ND The board of directors of Norsk Hostfest say the annual Scandinavian festival is ending. The board says rising costs and declining attendance led to the decision. The festival was founded in 1978 by a group who wanted to celebrate Nordic culture through community, music, art, food, and education. The board says that while the festival will not continue, people will still be able to visit the Scandinavian Heritage Park in Minot.
