Obituary for Patricia Lewis

Patricia Ann Lewis, 83, formerly of Leonard, MN went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Bemidji.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. 

Patsy was born on January 2,1943 in Pasco, WA to James and Edith Smith. She graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1960 and went to BSU for three years. She married the love of her life, LeRoy “Pete” Lewis on June 15, 1963. They had four sons, Todd, Scott, Tom & Matt who kept her very busy until they graduated high school. She then opened a hobby/craft shop in Clearbrook for a few years, worked at Knox Lumber and Kmart. After Pete retired, they built their retirement home with the help of their son’s and grandchildren, which created many memories. She was a member of the Good Sheperd Church of Clearbrook. Her favorite times were being together with family and friends. She loved all holidays, gatherings like deer hunting and sledding parties. She enjoyed fishing, especially family Canadian fishing trips, gardening, canning anything/everything, bird watching, and feeding her hummingbirds. She absolutely adored & loved being involved in her grandkid’s lives.  Patsy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a faithful friend. Her greatest joy was her family. She offered encouragement, wisdom and a listening ear. Her home was a place of warmth & laughter where everyone was welcome.

Patsy is survived by her sons; Todd (Denise) Lewis of Floresville, TX, Scott (Lynn) Lewis of Bemidji, MN, Tom (Kathy) Lewis of Bemidji, MN, and Matt (Michelle) Lewis of Bird City, KS.

Grandchildren: Patrick (Javiann), Thomas (Kristi), Adam (Kaydin), Samantha (Justin), Nicholas (April), Cody (Lexi), Jenna (Travis), Allison (Tyler), Kaitlyn.

Great-grandchildren: Colten, Harper, Harlee, Clayton, Lief, Bella, Link, and Rosie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edith Refshaw & James Smith, brothers Patrick & Michael, husband LeRoy, mother in-law Marie Killberg, sister in-law Maxine Olson (Merlin)
