Services held for Susan Higginbotham

Susan Joan (Delisle) Higginbotham, 54, died on Wednesday October 7th, 2015 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN. 

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bagley, MN.  The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements. 

She was born January 30, 1961 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Duane R. and Mary J. (Myhra) Delisle, and was raised in East Grand Forks, MN. She attended and graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1979. She went on to attend the University of North Dakota, eventually earning her Masters degree in Education. In 1986, she married Randy Higginbotham, of Bagley, MN, in East Grand Forks, MN. They later moved to Bemidji, MN in 1988. Sue worked for Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council at Bagley Elementary School. She retired in 2015. Sue loved traveling, spending time with her grandkids, and spending time at the lake. 

She is survived by her husband, Randy Higginbotham; her children, Lucas (Angela) Higginbotham, Haley Higginbotham, and Alex (Pauline) Higginbotham; her grandchildren, Isabella and Brycen; her mother, Mary J. Delisle; her sister, Stephanie (Brad) Johnson; her brothers, Mike (Mary Ann) Delisle, Mark (Debbie) Delisle, and David Delisle; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Donald “Sonny” (Deanna) Higginbotham, Donna “Sis” (Marvin) Marty, Keith Higginbotham, Paulette (Roger) Walberg, Mavis Halvorson, Rhonda Netland, Renae (Lance) Knutson, Mark Higginbotham, and Marlys Higginbotham.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane R. Delisle; her grandparents, Olaf & Elizabeth Myhra and Mayo & Velma Delisle; her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Emily Everhart; and her sister-in-law, Lavonne Vanmill.
