Santa Claus in Gonvick

The Christmas tree lighting was held in Gonvick on Friday,  December 5. Many came for the second annual old-fashioned event. Pastor Will Anderson gave a few words and Christmas carols were led by Sue Sims and Carol Peterson. Before the tree lighting. People were visiting and children enjoyed throwing snowballs. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by Norsk Farms LLC wagon with Jenell and Mark Strandberg the owners. Thor and Odin were busy giving rides around town. After the tree lighting people were invited to a free cup of warm soup and a lefse bar. Sticks for S/mores were given to use outside at the fire.
