Christine Marie Petersen

Christine Marie Petersen, 46, of Bemidji, MN died peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2025 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 24, 2025 at Crossroads Church in Bemidji, MN with Pastor John Hubert officiating. Visitation will be from 3 – 6 pm Sunday November 23rd and one hour prior to the service, all at the church. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji assisted the family.

Christine was born February 15, 1979 in Virginia, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Elaine (Hannula) Yuretich. She was raised on Majestic Lake in Iron, MN and graduated from Cherry High School in 1997. She continued her education in Eveleth, MN. She married Tom Petersen on August 20, 2005 in Bemidji, where she raised their 2 children Tyler (16) and Alaina (13) and their beloved dog Auggie. She worked at Arrow Printing in Bemidji before working at Pinnacle Publishing for over 20 years. She was involved in many community and church activities, such as Dragon Boat racing and Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. Her hobbies included curling, crocheting, camping, fishing, kayaking, sitting in the hot tub, football and spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for music.

She is survived by her husband Tom,

Children Tyler and Alaina

Mother and stepfather Elaine and Bob Ransom,

siblings Rob (Dani) Yuretich, Brian (Kim) Yuretich,

Stepsisters Cory Hilden, Robbi (Tim) Gack and Dede (Brett) Wiener.

Sister-in-law Kristie (Matthew) Biehn,

Nieces and nephews Maddison, Michael, Sophie and Elijah

She was preceded in death by her father Frank and stepmother Kathy Yuretich, nephews Robby Yuretich and Baby Boy Biehn, grandparents, and stepbrother-in-law Larry Hilden.
