Tucker Johnson wins the largest pumpkin again

Juane “Tucker” Johnson of Clearbrook took home the top honors at the annual Pumpkin Day held in Gonvick. The 857 pumpkin earned him the $1,000 for the day. Taking second place was Dylan Owens of Grand Rapids with his 730 pound pumpkin. He took home $500. Placing third was Bob Edevold of Gonvick with $250 and 639 pound pumpkin; fourth place with $100 was Trever Solberg of Gonvick with $100 and 454 pound pumpkin; fifth place Marvin Marty of Shevlin with $100 and his 450 pound pumpkin; sixth place Lynn Flateland $75.00 and 330 pound pumpkin; seventh place Noel Wagner $75.00 and his 238 pound pumpkin; eighth place John Johnson $50.00 and his 198 pound pumpkin; Dave Marty $50.00 and his 185 pound pumpkin and tenth place Reece Danielson $50.00 and his 114 pound pumpkin.

All it takes to enter in the pumpkin contest is membership in the Pumpkin Growers Club which costs $5.00 for the year.
