This past Saturday, former Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Tommy Kramer was at The Club Bar & Grill in McIntosh helping to promote the semi-pro football team, Tri City North Stars (E. Grand Forks, Grand Forks, and Crookston).
Kramer, who played for the Vikings from 1977 to 1989, was hired by the franchise owner of the Tri City North Stars, Jj Kern, to help him to promote the team, who played a game in Fosston on Saturday afternoon.
The semi-pro team plays a summer schedule and is a family-friendly form of entertainment in NW Minnesota and Northern North Dakota.
The team is the Midwest Premier Foodball League Champions for 2015.
Tommy Kramer is retired and living well in Texas. He returns to Minnesota about 5 times a year for personal appearances.
He provided a great day for fans of all ages. He was signing autographs on everything from posters to footballs and sat and visited with those who came to see him. “A very down-to-earth kind of guy,” was a comment throughout the bar.
