Franklin L. Bergh, age 91, of Clearbrook, MN, passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024 at his home with family by his side.
Funeral services for Franklin will be held on Saturday, April 13th 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bagley. A one hour visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 AM.
Father John Melkies Suvakeen will be officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by Melvin Johnson American Legion Post 320 of Clearbrook. Burial will be held at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Lunch will be served immediately after the services in the St. Joseph’s Church reception hall.

Franklin Leo Bergh was born March 20, 1933, son of Charles and Emma Bergh of Hallock, MN. He attended Sunny Side Country School grades 1-8 and then attended Crookston AC Northwest School of Agriculture and graduated in 1953.
Frank was drafted into the Army May 21, 1953 and had Basic Training in Fort Lewis, WA. He was shipped to Seoul, Korea on February 1, 1954. He arrived home in May 1955, having experienced 3 days on a transport ship in the mix of a typhoon. He was honorably discharged May 20, 1955.
Frank worked in the GTA Elevator in Hallock in 1955. He met his wife, Annie, in 1955 and they were married July 26, 1956. In 1957 Frank was sent to manage the GTA Elevator in Galchutt, ND. Their four oldest children, Patty, Connie, Janet, and Wayne were all born while living in Galchutt, ND. Frank managed the elevator until March 1964 when he decided to move his family back to Hallock and farm with his brother Larry. In 1966 came a tremendous flood of the Red River and they were forced to move out of their home and bought their farm in Clearbrook, MN on April 1, 1966. Their youngest son, Charles, was born in July 1966. Frank was a dairy farmer and he and Annie raised their 5 children on the farm. They sold the farm in the fall of 2001 and moved into a new home in Clearbrook on the 21st of April, 2002.
Frank and Annie enjoyed their gardening, canning and yard work all the years that they have lived in Clearbrook.
Frank is survived by his wife Annie of 67 years, Daughters Patty & Jim Beardsley and Family of Clearbrook, Connie Solberg (Brian Gunning) and Family of Gonvick. Sons Wayne Bergh and Lori and Family of Gonvick, and Charles Bergh and Barb and Family of Milaca. Son-in-Law Robert Thompson (Janet) and Family of McIntosh. Frank’s sister Margie Anderson and Family of Lancaster, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Emma, Daughter Janet Thompson, Grandsons Ryan (newborn) and Dustin (Charles). Brothers, Gail, Larry, Morris, and Bill.
