Obituary for Lois Jean (Orr) Anderson

Lois Jean (Orr) Anderson, 89, of Bagley, Minnesota passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020 at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, MN.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Bagley City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.  The Cease Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Lois Jean (Orr) Anderson was born on March 2, 1931 on a farm at Truman, Minnesota to parents Homer and Edna (Manthee) Orr.  She graduated from Blackduck High School as Valedictorian of her class.  Lois worked various jobs in Blackduck where she met her future husband Herman Anderson.  They were married on April 28, 1956.  To this union they had one daughter.  They lived in Bagley until 1963 when they moved to a farm south of Bagley.  Lois was a kind and generous lady who was always willing to help others.

Daughter – Mary (Bradley) Maruska of Bagley, MN

Grandchildren – Daren (Dawn) Maruska of Faribault, MN

Great Grandchildren – Cody Carlson of Fargo, ND

Jesse (Mikaila) Carlson of Detroit Lakes, MN

Ashley Maruska of Bagley, MN

Brad Maruska of Bagley, MN

Ashton Maruska of Owatonna, MN

One great great grandson – Colton Carlson of Detroit Lakes, MN

One niece – Dayle Patterson of Duluth, MN

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers – Arlynn Orr and Tom Orr; sister-in-law- Wanda Orr; and one niece – Virginia (Orr) Essig.
