Gunner Arlaud of Gonvick took first in the Semi Pro 600 Class on an Arctic Cat. He had the fastest time of the day with a time of 104 miles per hour. Timing and scoring are done from a special trailer as part of the USXC. He was given the option to go into the pro class at the back. He recorded the fastest lap of the Pro Class at 8 minutes and 36 seconds. Scoring second and third were Dustin Schwandt 2nd and Dylan Stevens 3rd. They were sponsored by Kost Materials of West Fargo and Harder Seeds of Ulen.

Jesse Hallstrom of Thief River Falls ran the Junior 14-17 boys group at the Pine Lake 200 races last weekend. They were sponsored by Clearwater Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club of Bagley and Northdale Oil of Gonvick.

This little one enjoyed playing with the snow chunks while the adults watched the races.

Two days of racing over

The USXC racing series kicked off it's season of bumper to bumper racing action at the iconic Gerald Dyrdahl Pine Lake 200. A large crowd attended the races last weekend.

Races were held on Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15. Racing started at 9:00 am each day. The event center was at Sportsman's Lodge in Pine Lake where all the action took place.

Winner of the drawing for the 120 Arctic Cat was Braxton Bjerke and the winner of the rifle was Brandon Olson.

Masters 50 plus race winner was Glen Arlaud, Gonvick on a Yahama, second place Jim Sobeck and third place David Wandschneider. That race was sponsored by 5L Farms - By Gully, USA.
