The 2019 Grygla Trap Team has finished their regular season 1st place in their conference! A plaque will be awarded to the team and hung at the Grygla School. Congratulations to Jaden Kiesow, who got 1st place Male Shooter in the conference and top Male shooter for the team. He will get a medal at the Trap Championship in Alexandria. “There were many good Chargers who were in the hunt also,” stated Head Coach Kenny Lunsetter. Congratulations to Katelyn Larson, who narrowly won top Female shooter for the team. Lunsetter added, “There were many young lady Chargers who put up very good scores this year. I’m very proud of all the students who put in a lot of time and effort into honing their skills.”
Twelve students will be going to Alexandria on June 10th. We wish them luck at the Trap Champsionship.
The Fourtown/Grygla Sportsman’s Club has sponsored the team the last four years and paid for their state registration. Machinewell provided protective glasses for the kids. Trap team members also sold raffle tickets for Pheasants Forever and Ford Trucks, and received some of the proceeds for that. The Chargers Trap Team is coached by Kenny Lunsetter and assisted by Shannon Nelson, Trevor Kiesow and Tonia Haack.
The Shooting Range is located at the Thief River Fun Club. The team would shoot Sundays from 1-3pm and Thursdays from 4-6pm - combined with the Goodridge Trap Team.
The team will be holding their Fun Shoot this Sunday, June 2nd, at the club. Everyone who is going to Alexandria is encouraged to attend, however, the whole team is invited; there will also be a cookout. Get in touch with Kenny Lunsetter for more info.
