Donna Drangstveit is looking forward to her retirement. She will enjoy her time at home, do some traveling, spend more time with her grandchildren and attend more of their sports and other activities. She has many things that she enjoys. Her time will be filled with quilting, her flower gardens and mowing, which she said she really enjoys. And sitting on her garden shed porch reading a book. She also will be ice fishing during the winter months. Her husband Mike thinks he is going to have her chisel plow in the spring and fall. She is a farm girl at heart, but the tractors are so much bigger than they used to be.
Before she started at Security State Bank, she was working as a bus driver for RLCC Schools and Machinewell, Inc. for 10 years in Oklee. Machinewell, first temporarily closed the Oklee location and then it became permanent.
Donna started working at Security State Bank in September of 2008, and continued to drive bus for many years, putting in 25 years as a driver.
She has enjoyed working at Security State Bank, the people have been great to work with and she will miss them. The laughter shared with employees and the open house’s and celebrations were always fun events at the bank.
Donna is married to Mike Drangstveit, a farmer in the Goodridge area and she has two children, Jonathan Sundrud and Lesley Harmoning. They both live in Red Lake Falls. She will be able to also spend more time with her mother who lives in Thief River Falls.
She is ready for the next step in her life, retirement, which brings more time to enjoy all the important things in her life which include her hobbies and family.
Happy Retirement, Donna!
