Services for Agnes M. Skime

Agnes M. Skime, 80 of Bemidji went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at her home. 

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Genelle Netland officiating.  Private burial will be held by her family at the Calvary Cemetery in Bemidji.

Agnes was born on May 2, 1938 in Rolla, ND to Edward and Elda (Tuenge) Lentz.  She attended grade school and high school in Rolla, ND.  She completed a two year course through St. Scholastica in Duluth, and became a licensed medical record librarian.  She worked and managed the Medical Department at the IHS Hospital in Cass, retiring in November 1990 after 32 years of service.

She married Ronald Skime in Rolla, ND on July 26, 1959 and continued to live in Bemidji.  She had one son, Robert M. Skime who was born August 22, 1960, and was very proud of the kind and loving, successful man he became.

Agnes had many hobbies; reading, crossword puzzles, embroidering, gardening, spending time with grandchildren and their parents, baking, sharing her baked products with friends and relatives.  She had a kind and loving heart and provided assisted living help when needed by her mother-in-law until she moved with her daughters and an aunt until she passed.  She was willing to help anyone who called upon her for help.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; son Rob (Jennifer); grandson, Trenton; granddaughter, Paige; sisters, Laverna Gores, Adeline Guderjahn; brothers, Ted, Vern, and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rose Thue, Leona Leftwich, brothers, Edward, Marlynn, Walter, and Clarence.

Honorary pallbearers are Trent and Paige Skime and Rita Holmgren Loshe.
