Electric co-op members fund local causes . . .

Checks totaling $6,050 were awarded to local area organizations by Clearwater-Polk Electric Co-op’s Operation Round Up. Fourteen checks ranging from $200 to $500 were handed out. This latest round of donations brings the total contributed via Operation Round Up to $397,569 since its inception in 1997. Operation Round Up funds are derived from members of the cooperative allowing their monthly electric bill to be rounded up to the nearest dollar, with the difference going into the funds managed by a board of trustees.
