December 13th is the day for fun with the Holiday Train coming to Plummer with musical show featuring The Trews and Willy Porter.
The schedule for that day starts in Glenwood, MN at 10:00 a.m. and the last stop is in Thief River Falls at 7:30 p.m. Cities in between are Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Mahnomen and Plummer.
The entertainers will be:

The Trews
With multiple radio hits drawn from six scorching studio albums plus several EPs, a pair of live records, and a retrospective, The Trews are among the most prolific, electrifying, and innovative rock bands on the planet. The Nova Scotia-bred, Hamilton, ON-based combo of singer/guitarist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Chris Gormley — songwriters all — has won universal acclaim for both their dazzling live performances and wildly accessible songs.
“This will be our first time touring by train, which is something we’ve always wanted to do. To do it while being able to raise some money to put food on local shelves at this most important time of year makes it extra special for us. We can’t wait!”
At the Plummer stop, things begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Tri Rivers Museum opening and has open tours.
Between 4-6:00 p.m. a light lunch, coffee, hot chocolate & cookies is at Plummer Community Hall (Free will offering to food shelf)
Other activities include a Photo Booth & Activities for kids -upstairs of hall at 4:00 p.m. Santa arrives at Hall about that time also.
Christmas carols at Hall by Eric Mickelson starts at 5:00 p.m. with Eric Mickelson sings at Tri Rivers Pioneer Museum at 5:15 p.m.
Santa arrives at 5:45 p.m. at Tri Rivers Pioneer Museum for more fun for the kids. and approximately at 6:00 pm. the CP Holiday Train arrives on the Main Crossing in Plummer.
Please follow all the signs for parking and do not interfere with the Holiday Train. Safety is important with this size of crowd and a large moving object as it comes into town and once again when it leaves.
