October Elementary Students of the Month
Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone,
Kindness in another's troubles,
Courage in your own.
~Adam Lindsay Gordon
Name: Maci Syverson, Kindergarten
Parents: Tory Syverson and Lauren Lien
Comments: Maci always comes to school with a smile and a positive attitude. She is a good example to all as she follows directions quickly and is very respectful. I love her enthusiasm for learning new things! Her classmates voted for her to be our Student of the Month. They seem to appreciate her kindness and good manners as much as I do. One student remarked, “I like Maci because she is kind to everyone.” Another said, “I like Maci because she plays with me!” Congratulations Maci!

Comments: Edward is having a great start to his school career! He is a hard worker and a great friend to all his classmates. He is a great listener and does all his work without being asked twice. His friends like to play with him at playtime and recess too. I love that he works so hard till his job is done. Way to go Edward- and keep it up!

Comments: Isabelle was very hesitant to come to first grade and she told me she was going to try it out for one week! This young lady has blossomed and has shown so much growth since the beginning of the year! She is a role model student that makes good decisions in her behavior and how she treats others with kindness. She completes her work with great quality and purpose! Her printing is beautiful and her writings are well thought out! She is diligent; staying on task! In her group work, she delivers well thought out responses and shares them with the class in a considerate way!! She told me recently that she likes first grade and it shows in her work! Isabelle, you are an amazing First Grader!
