Class of 1954 Reunion holds a reunion

The Clearbrook High School Class of 1954 held a reunion at the Fireside in Bagley on September 26 with 13 classmates in attendance. With spouses it was a total of 20. 64 years ago, when graduating we were a class of 26 total, with three having since passed away. Being most of us are 82, we thought thirteen was a good number. Two of the attendees are in assisted living, (Bemidji & Detroit Lakes), one came from Milwaukee, two from Mpls and the rest from Bemidji, Bagley, Fosston, Clearbrook and Grand Rapids, MN. Over the years various members have held mini reunions in their homes or at Clearbrook restaurants. For several years they were held in Bemidji being organized mostly by Jan Dreyer every 3 to 5 years. The last few years the class has held small reunions every year and closer to Mpls to accommodate the metro and out of state classmates. These were organized by Mary Ellen and Alice. This year it was decided to try having it in Bagley and it really was a good decision. Wayne decided he wanted to have a go at it and he was more than welcome to do so. Getting everyone together is not an easy task. Thanks to everyone that worked so hard rounding us up because we sure have a fun time visiting and being together those few hours. Donna Lou entertained us with her great sense of humor. Mary Ellen shared a cartoon with us, which is being included.
