Chargers Football 2-0 after game against Laporte

Last Friday, September 7th, the Chargers traveled to Laporte to play the Wildcats. They got themselves another win with a 48-8 final score!

Blake Passa had a break out game on the offensive & defensive line for the Chargers, as well.

Coach’s Comments: It was a good win vs. a scrappy Laporte team. The Chargers started out somewhat sputtering on the offensive line. An inspired Wildcat defense gave us all we could handle in the first half. But three first half TD strikes from Jaden Kiesow to Kaleb Sjulestad of 10 yds, 36 & 65 yds opened the game up. It was nice to see we can be diversified on the offensive side of the ball when needed.

Defensively, again, we turned over our opponent setting up scoring opportunities & also scoring a defensive touchdown off of the kickoff by Aaron Jones fumble recovery return. This week we need to be ready & focused when a solid Freeze team will be coming to Goodridge on Friday night. They will give us somewhat of a match up problem with their size & speed, which will be a real challenge if we don’t come ready to play.
