Benefit for Wayne Kindem

A benefit will be held for Wayne Kindem on Saturday, September 15 from 3 to 8 p.m. There will be a bake sale at 3:00  p.m. and a spaghetti supper starting at 4:00 p.m.
In 2015 Wayne was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease Goodpasture Syndrome. It put blood clots in his lungs and kidneys. His lungs came back but not the kidneys. He is on peritoneal dialysis at home and needs a kidney transplant.
Donations can be dropped off at three different locations. Y-92 in Clearbrook, Mrs. Olson’s Lefse office in Gonvick and Shorty’s Place in Gully.
Questions, you can call Wendy Kindem 218-268-4235 or Kim Eckman 218-280-7921.
Without dialysis or a kidney transplant the disease is fatal. The health of your kidneys affects your other organs and systems too.
Goodpasture syndrome was discovered in 1919, while studying the influenza pandemic, Ernest Goodpasture, an American pathologist and physician, recognized a disease affecting the lungs and kidneys.
