County Surveyor given another three year contract

The Surveying Committee has recommended that County Surveyor Robert Murray be given another three year contract. The request was brought before the Clearwater County Board of Commissioners by Stuart Lien, representing the Surveying Committee.
Lein said, “He’s done a lot for our county, and we are very pleased.”
He said that Robert Murray has been our County Surveyor since May of 2011, for a three year term which ended May of 2014. The County Attorney has reviewed the contract and given his approval.
The new contract would be for sixteen hours per month, at a fee of $12,480 annually, plus a $5 per hour raise suggested by Commissioner Dan Stenseng and approved by the Board and to be paid to Murray’s firm.
Murray said he is satisfied, and the project benefits everyone in the County.
“The remonumentation project is 70% done in three townships. We have until September to finish,” Murray Said.
Popple, Copley and Shevlin Townships are the three being finished this year. Next they will begin working on Eddy, Holst and Dudley to the north.
