RLCC April Students of the Month

Red Lake County Central recognized the April Students of the Month. Senior High Student of the Month was awarded to Allison Aakkus and Junior High Student of the Month was awarded to Danny Guillemette.
Allison Aakhus is in tenth grade and is 16 years old. Aakhus is the daughter of Jason and Bobbi Aakkus and has one sibling, Natalie Aakkus. She’s involved in golf and choir. In Aakhus’s free time, she plays guitar and the piano. Ms. Jessie Hamrum awarded Aakhus this award. Hamrum nominated Aakhus because she’s kind, works hard, and sticks up for other kids. Hamrum noted that “Allison has worked hard over the past two years and has grown as a person and also academically.”
Danny Guillemette is the son of Marc Guillemette and Shasta Pahlen Guillemette. He is a ninth grader and is 15 years old. Guillemette has one sibling, Lily Guillemette. He is involved in speech, one act, three act, and musical. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games, listening to music, and others. Guillemette was nominated by Mr. Michael Swenson. Swenson nominated Guillemette because “he has proved himself an excellent student who truly has grit. When he had a burst appendix and surgery, he was back for rehearsal after a weekend. He has excelled in speech and Something’s Afoot musical having to play the love interest with his sister Lily and sing the most enjoyable song “I’ve Got a Teenie Little Dinghy”. The two had an amazing performance.”
