Red Lake County Central Class of 2018 Graduates on May 25

Red Lake County Central Graduation will be held on Friday, May 25th at the High School in Oklee. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Twenty-five seniors will receive their diplomas during the graduation ceremony.
Speakers will be the top three students of the Class of 2018. They include Hannah Kolstoe, daughter of Matt and Lisa Kolstoe; Katie Olson, daughter of Steve and Karen Olson; and Matthew Vettleson, son of Alan and Chris Vettleson.
The Class of 2018 graduates are Gunnar Anderson, Noah Bakken, Bryce Bergeson, Rosalie Christianson, David Clifton, Jayden Fore*, Billie Jo Gryskiewicz, Tyler Jensen, Holly Johnsrud, Erin Jones*, Joshua Kelley, Hannah Kolstoe**, Kara Longtin**, Andrew May, Sydney Melby**, Katie Olson**, Nicholas Pahlen*, Seth Paradis, Jade Person*, Sara Simon*, Megan Smith*, Linsey Thompson, Ethan Vettleson, Matthew Vettleson**, and Chase Whalen. (**High Honors, Cumulative GPA 3.5-4.0, Gold Cord; and *Honors, Cumulative GPA 3.0-3.49, Silver Cord)
The chosen Class Motto of the 2018 seniors is “Our lives are before us, our pasts are behind us, but our memories are forever with us.” The Class Colors are royal blue and black, and the Class Flower is the White Tiger Lily.
The Honor Guards from the junior class will be Andrew Fish and Marie Johnson. The ushers/usherettes will include Julia Bernstein, Sydnie Gunderson, Connor Lambert, and Zoe Russillo.
The Colors will be presented by the American Legion. The Recessional and Processional will be played on the piano by Peggy Miller. The senior class and the senior choir members will be singing three songs. Principal Randall Pederson will be presenting the Class of 2018. Superintendent James Guetter and School Board Chairman Mr. Matt Kolstoe will be presenting the diplomas.
