Benefit held for Chris Paulson

The benefit that was held for Chris Paulson last weekend at the Clearbrook Community Center was a huge success. The silent auction items were all set up and ready at 4:00 pm as well as the spaghetti meal that was served by the Gonvick Lions Club.
Many groups including the  Leonard Our Saviors Lutheran Church women and Thrivent helped to make it a huge success. Eric Mickelson was the auctioneer for the event. The silent auction had a large number of items on it including an elk hunting trip to Wyoming and a fishing weekend at Lake of the Woods. Bidders were very generous! A jar of pickles went for $125.00!
In January Chris Paulson was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Chris underwent surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester on January 30th. He will now be continuing his treatment and therapy at Sanford in Bemidji.
Donations for the family can  be made at the First State Bank in Clearbrook, attention Jane Jorgenson.
